Mercato delle Gaite

The Mercato delle Gaite is now one of the most important historical events of the Umbria region. Bevagna is held every year in June to commemorate the daily life of the city between 1250 and 1350. The term Gaite or Guaite stated the neighborhoods in which had divided the city of Bevagna.

Tournament of the Quintana

The Tournament of the Quintana, revived in 1946, is inspired by a horseback contest that dates back to the seventeenth century, to determine the order of priority for an honourable knight in his allegiance to the prince or to his ladylove.
